Why? because everyone has to eat. As Hippocrates the Father of Medicine stated, “Let Food be thy Medicine and medicine be thy Food”. If we change our eating habits to include healthy whole foods and juices, our body will respond with positive changes.
We begin to feed our bodies on a cellular level and wonderful things start to happen. Nature has provided all the ingredients in whole foods to nourish our bodies. By using food first, there is less cost to the client and the client has control over the process.
Although we focus on using whole foods first, depending upon the client’s health and wishes – herbs, tinctures, wholefood supplements and teas may be recommended.
The next step in our balancing program is to develop a plan for exercise. It is not just about getting your heart rate up and losing weight. There are other metabolic and detoxifying processes that exercise affects. All these processes helps bring the body back into balance. Exercise is just as important as the food you eat.
In addition to exercise, your emotional well-being is important. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, specific emotions are related to different organs and those emotions can cause imbalances. We will address areas of concern and develop strategies to bring your emotional health back into balance.
